So we are less than a week away from Peter Capaldi's first full length outing as the Doctor. It seems like only yesterday that Doctor Who materialised back on to our television screens and yet nearly 10 years later its still here going strong with the next incarnation of everybody's favourite Time Lord.
From all the trailers that have been released and all the interviews with the cast and crew it sounds like this new series is going back to its roots. Its going to be darker in tone and less light hearted and more scary. Only time will tell, but to be honest I think its going to be brilliant and I certainly think Peter Capaldi is the right man for the job.
The first episode of series 8 is called Deep Breath and it is on this Saturday (26th August) at 7:50pm UK time on television and in cinemas all around the world. I will be doing a full review once the episode has aired. Let me know your thoughts below.
